I try to allow plenty of time during the day for students to complete assignment, however; there will be times when homework is necessary.  Students write down assignments for homework in planners daily.  Homework should be able to be completed independently within about a half hour. If this is not the case, please let me know and we can discuss it. It works best to have an established time for homework and a designated quiet area in which to study.  All homework is due the following day (unless otherwise noted) at 8:30 AM. Incomplete work will be counted wrong. If there were extenuating circumstances, making it nearly impossible for your child to complete the work, please send a note and I will handle it fairly. nancy.block@k12.sd.us  I caution parents about offering too much "hand holding" during homework sessions.
