  • There are over 100 Word Wall Words that students will work with throughout the year. They will be introduced in sets of 10-20 words about every 3-4 weeks. There will be weekly tests over the words, and students will strive to spell them correctly "all the time, every time". The words will be displayed on our Word Wall all year.

  • Three sets of challenge words will be added in March & April: 1) believe, calendar, experience, height, weight, length, independent, neighbor, receive, schedule, weird  2) pronunciation, privilege, occasionally, argument, foreign, guarantee, humorous, intelligence, jewelry, library 3) acceptable, accidentally, discipline, judgement (also spelled judgment), license, lightning, noticeable, perseverance, recommend
  • With our Reading Street curriculum, there are weekly spelling workbook pages. Spelling tests will not cover these words. The spelling list for the following week will be posed in the weekly newsletter.
  • I have a Spelling City site - http://www.spellingcity.com/nb010/ - Kids can take practice tests online. There are some additional "tough words" on the site for students who need a bit more of a challenge. I will be adding the weekly Spelling Lists from Reading Street soon.
